Acer Laptops: All Around Good?

I am looking to buy a laptop, and i heard Acer is the way to go for your money. I heard they weren’t the best, but that’s good enough for me. I just want it for email, school, and some lite gaming, such as WoW, maybe some Oblivion or Mount and Blade. I am looking at one of the notebooks, not the mini series. Some feedback would really help! Thanks
